What is MCB - Miniature circuit breaker meaning and mechanism


MCB ka full name Miniature Circuit Breakers(full form of MCB). Aapne fuses ke baare me to suna he hoga or fuses ka use hum overload and Faulty Condition me apne appliances ko save karne ke liye karte hai. Lekin aaj ke time par Fuses ki jagah MCB ka use hone laga hai, kyuki Fuse se jyada better kaam MCB karti hi. MCB overload and faulty appliances me jyada better kaam karti hai.


What is MCB hindi me? MCB ek electrical Switch hai, jo ki fuse ki tarah bhi kaam karta hai. Jab kisi circuit me current ki amount jyada ho jati hai to MCB apne aap off ho jati hai. Pahle kuch decades me Fuses ka use kiya jata tha lekin aajkal MCB ka use widely hone laga hai. Upar ki Image me aapko pata lag gya hoga ki MCB ke andr kon kon se components hote hai. Neeeche diagram hai jiski help se hum ise easily samaj payenge ki mcb kaise kaam karti hai. MCB ke andar two ways me tripping hoti hai, jaisa ki humne btaya MCB overload or short circuit ke kaaran trip hoti hai. Lekin in dono tripping ke liye MCB me do alag alag cheeje lagai gyi hai. To hum pahle baat karte hai MCB overload condition ki.



Overload Current MCB Tripping


MCB me Bimetal Strip hoti hai jo ki metals ko mix karke banai jaati hai, jisme 1 metal heatup hone par doosre se kam expose hoti hai. Isi kaaran jab MCB par current increase hota hai tab Bimental Strip heatup(garam) hone lagta hai or jiske kaaran isme lagi metal kam expose(failti) hai or doosri metal jyada. Iske kaaran Strip bend ho jati hai or bend hone ke saat- saath Tripping Lever ko apne saath pull karti hai, or MCB trip ho jati hai.


Short Circuit MCB Tripping


MCB kisi bhi appliance me fault aane par Trip ho jaati hai, agar kisi bhi electrical appliance ke andar short circuit ho jaata hai to MCB Trip ho jaati hai. Reason kya hai iske andar lagi hoti hai Solenoid Coil. Solenoid Coil ke baare me aapne 12th me Physics me study kiya hoga. Jab short circuit hota hai tab MCB  me lagi "Solenoid Coil" me bhut he jyada magnetic field generate hoti hai jisse ki MCB ke andar lage "Plunger" ko ye magnetic field aage ki taraf push karti hai, jisse ki Tripping Lever bhi is force se aage push ho jaata hai or hamari MCB Trip ho jaati hai.


Ab aapko pata lag gaya hai ki MCB Overload and MCB Shortcircuit kaise kaam karti hai. MCB ko use karne ka sabse jyada benifit Short Circuit me hota hai, MCB bhut jaldi kuch he mili seconds me trip ho jaati hai jiske kaaran hamara nuksaan hone se bach jaata hai.


Types of MCB In Hindi - MCB ke Types


Jaisa ki hum jaante hai ki MCB ka use domestic(gharelu/home) or industrial level par kiya jaata hai. Isiliye ise dono purpose ke use ke liye alag alag bnaya jaata hai. Mainly 5 types ki MCB hoti hai, jinki list neeche given hai. In sabhi ko explain karne ke baad hum example dekhenge jisme hum MCB ka full load current ya Rated Current 10 Amp(ampere) consider karenge.

1. Type - B MCB

Agar kisi MCB ka full load 10 ampere hai or type- B ki MCB hai to agar uske andar 30 se 50 ampere current flow ho jaata hai to MCB trip ho jaati hai.

2. Type-C MCB

Or isi type se agar type-C MCB hai or uska full load current 10 ampere hai to MCB 50 - 100 Ampere current flow hone par Trip ho jayega.

3. Type-D MCB

Same as agar type-D MCB hai or full load 10 Ampere hai to MCB 100 - 200 ampere current flow hone par  trip ho jayega.

4. Type-K MCB

Agar MCB type-K ki hai or uska full load current 10 ampere hai to MCB 100 - 150 ampere current flow hone par Trip ho jayegi.

5. Type-Z MCB 

Agar MCB type-Z ki hai or uska full load current 10 ampere hai to MCB 20-30 ampere current flow hone par trip ho jayega.

Benefits of MCB- MCB lagane ke faide


1. MCB ek automatically switch off hone wala circuit hai joki circuit overload me overload current or short circuit ke kaaran apne aap Switch Off ho jaata hai, or MCB Fuse ke comparision me bhut fast work karta hai.


2. MCB ko hum trip hone ke baad fir se ON kar sakte hai lekin agar Fuse ek baar damage(जलने के बाद )  ho jata hai to humko new Fuse use karna padta hai.


3. Agar hamari MCB baar-baar trip hoti hai to hm MCB ko fir se use kar sakte hai, lekin fuse ki condition me har baar new fuse use karna padega jisme ki bahut jyada cost lagegi.

Semiconductors we matters hote hai jinke through a little amount of electricity(current) flow hoti hai , kabhi kabhi ye current zero bhi hoti hai. Ese matters ko hum semiconductors kahte hai.

i.e. Silicon, Germanium etc.


Formation of Semiconductors- Semiconductors kaise banaye jate hai

Jab kabhi bhi conductors me a small amount of insulators ko mix kar diya jata hai to semiconductor ka formation hota hai. Semiconductors ka use Transistors, Diodes etc ko banane me kiya jata hai.

Basically Silicon and Germanium are used to make Transistors.

There are two types of Semiconductors we have
  • P-type semiconductors
  • N-type semiconductors

 

P-type Semiconductors

P type semiconductors me p positive terminal(charge) wale ions hote hai or p-type me positive ions ki amount jyada hoti hai n type ke comparision me.

 

N-type Semiconductors

N-type semiconductors me negative terminal(charge) ions jyada hote hai or p-type(positive ions) lklam hote hai.


Diode kya hota hai

Diodes p-type or n-type semiconductors ko add karke form kiya jata hai.

Diode kaise work karta hai- How diode works

Diodes basically 2 type se work karta hai
  • Forward Bias
  • Reverse Bias


Basically diode have two terminals positive and negative(Cathode and anode). P-type side of diode is known as "anode" and the N-type side is known as "cathode".

Forward Bias in Hindi- Forward Biasing kya hoti hai

Jab Anode ko positive supply dete hai to current Anode to Cathode flow hoti hai and jab Cathode ko negative supply dete hai to current Cathode to Anode flow hoti hai. This process is known as Forward Biasing.


In other words

Anode sirf positive current ko he accecpt karta hai and Cathode sirf negative current ko he apne andar se flow hone deta hai. Is type ki biasing ko forward biasing kahte hai.

Reverse Biasing In Hindi- Reverse Biasing kya hoti hai

Jab Cathode ko positive current and Anode ko negative current dete hai. To esi condition me diode reverse bias me work karta hai. Reverse Bias me diode ke andar koi current pass nahi hota hai. Diode doesn't allow to flow any current inside it. This is called Reverse Biasing.
Diodes ka use isiliye different circuits me kiya jata hai jaha forward and reverse biasing ki need hoti hai.

  • Filtration Circuit
  • Rectification Circuit
  • Protection Circuit

Logic gates kya hai - (What are logic gates in Hindi).Basically Logic Gates ek esa concept hai, jiska Output uske Input par depend karta hai. Logic gate input function ka Boolean Function output hota hai. Aajkal sabhi semiconductors me logic gates ka use hota hai jo ki input signals ko output boolean function me change karte hai. Ye phyical quantity bhi ho sakti hai ya scalar quantity. Boolean ek physist or mathematician the jinhone semiconductor physics me apna bhut he yogdaan diya , jinki wajah se aaj hamare saare computer motherboards se lekar high end processors tak babane possible ho paye hai. Jis type se kisi Door ke liye two conditions ho sakti hai(open or close). Same in Logic gate there are two conditions for output(High or Low). Logic gates OR and AND gates jaise simple bhi ho sakte hai or computer jaise complex bhi.

Diodes ka use karke jo logic gates create kiye jate hai, wo sabse simple hote hai. But Diodes se only AND gate or OR gate he create kiye ja sakte hai, invertor nahi banaya ja sakta hai. Logic gates digital physics ka ek bahut he important topic hai. Saare electronic devices logic gates or transistors ke principle or implementation par work karte hai. Bina logic gates or transistors ka use kiye electronic circuits ko built karna possible nahi hai. So let's talk about types of Logic gates we have:


There are different types of Logic Gates :

1. AND logic Gate

In this logic gate when the all inputs will be high(1) the output will be high(1). If one of the input is low(0) the output will be low(0). Let's see the Logic table of AND Gate and their output.

2. NOT Logic Gate

NOT gate is aslo known as invertor logic gate. NOT gate contains only 1 input and 1 output. When the input is low(0) the output will be high(1), and when the input is high(1) the output will be low(0).

Boolean expression of NOT Gate is y= A bar(where A Bar means 0 convert high to low and low to high)

3. OR Logic Gate

In this logic gate if one of the input is high(1) the output will be high(1), it doesn't matters that the other input is low(0)

4. NAND Logic Gate

This logic gate is formed by the combination of NOT Gate and AND Gate is known as NAND Gate.

5. NOR Logic Gate

This gate is formed by the combination of NOT gate and OR gate.
